W'San Nunh

Loyal, Flirty, Curious, Mischievous, Passionate

Bio

Born on the continent of Ilsabard, W'san believed that he was the byproduct of an illicit union between his Seeker mother, and a Keeper father that he never knew. As a child, he was shunned for not being an approved mating, making him angry and resentful toward the rest of his peers. When his mother fell ill and died, he blamed the tribe for refusing to help her. He fell into a self-destructive depression, becoming embittered and drinking often. One day, while drunk, he challenged one of the Nunhs of his tribe to combat and, drawing on his hatred and sorrow, killed him, becoming a Nunh himself. Even though he was a Nunh, he still didn't have the respect of the tribe and felt even more isolated before. He decided, as a Nunh, that he would leave his tribal lands. The excuse was to "seek greater fame for the clan," but in reality, he wanted to be done with them and never look back. The rest of the tribe wholeheartedly encouraged him to leave.W'san first made his way to Limsa Lominsa, and lacking any real world skills, fell in with a gang of criminals, doing what he could to make ends meet. Eventually, he ran afoul of local authorities, and stowed away on a ship headed to kugane, where he fell in with an even tougher crowd. With his previous skills as a rogue, he climbed the ranks well and further honed his craft. He enjoyed a comfortable life of women, alcohol, and misbegotten riches. Still, he felt an emptiness inside him and decided to go back to Limsa. He decided to start over, again, this time working at a local winery. When the owners were called back to Sharlayan, to report their progress on making a hardier grape species, W'san was chosen to come along to help present the findings. On the day of the departure, W'san had arrived late to the docks, and thought that the others might have left him behind. Relying on his old skills, he snuck aboard the closest ship heading to his destination. Upon arriving, he realized that the Sharlayans that he worked for never showed up to port, having disappeared after possibly embezzling the funds given to them from the forum. Now in Sharlayan, with no extra clothes, no food, no shelter, he was able to use his status as "Nunh" to procure his only livelihood: that of a student. While studying at Sharlayan, he discovered that he had an innate talent for manipulating aether, becoming what was known as a red mage, able to balance the metaphorical light and dark within himself. He also learned that his long incisors, unique tail, and his "claws," were not from being half-keeper, but he was instead half Hrothgar. Once he had completed his studies, he returned to the familiar Limsa Lominsa, this time with the intention of, for the second time in his life, making an honest living as a free company adventurer.
